S...Great to hear about you doing a race, nice job! Seems like keeping this style of running for a while might be your best bet. Then maybe over time you can increase the speed<br /><br />and lol on this line "A few comments from the crowd trying to encourage me to "not give up" and "keep running" were a bit embarrassing". <br /><br />Oh, and good news on my left knee - structrually it is perfect according to my doc. It might have been simply hugely inflamed, the doc gave me a cortisone shot. My knee already feels probably 75-80% better. To PT I go. And I've learned my lesson to keep up a strength training regime if I want to run consistently. <br /><br />And yea, your last comment seems totally dead on to me - glute and hips seems like the key to running. I'll keep you informed of any interesting developments learned from PT.
